Yes because generally Mafia and Yakuza people that kill and traffic people, sell drugs and guns, beat up people for loans or gamble are sweet good hearted butterflies that run around spreading fairy dust. Do you think a Yakuza if he is told "I will do business with you if you give your body to me" will be like "oh I must buy some flowers and flirt until I have his consent and then kiss him at the 3rd date". Actually from what we have see so far, seme is unusually kind and romantic for a realistic mobster (loving the same person for years, not having sex with others, not pleasuring himself with a prostitute, when losing control then taking them to a hospital, and even getting mad on his behalf). Actually yaoi tropes made you think that mobsters are sweet cute teddy bears but usually they are not. While this one here is a strange mix

Of course you have the right to not like a story or a character. I never read Pearl because I hate forced prostitution, I only read the side stories. But I would never say while I read it "oh the Yakuza should not pimp and traffic people, Yakuza are nice decent human beings, I would never expect this from them". Actually the best depiction of a partner in the yaoiverse are the semes from Dangerous Convenience Store, A Tiger's Den and Bye Bye. All 3 are mobsters but are the most amazing loving partners in the Galaxy. Those are fluff stories, I love them, those semes are unicorns and personally my cup of tea. But there are the realistic ones that have violence and cruelty. Plus Ms virtue-signaling, do you remember bottom drugging and forcing themselves on the top some chaptera ago? So consent is only required from the man or the top?

i didnt say the yakuza have to be saints but THIS SPECIFIC CHARACTER HIMSELF even shocked HIS OWN SELF with HIS VIOLENCE and in the flashback you can tell he tries to be a good/kind person and values intimate relationships. he is established as someone with a morally upright core despite his morally questionable profession and background — thats what makes him compelling and interesting. if even the character is shocked/disappointed by the depravity of his own actions am i not allowed to be shocked/disappointed too? god forbid a piece of media make a reader feel things. should we not have critical thought and complicated emotions as we engage with fiction? jesus christ lmfaooo

Actually if you really stopped and thought about it, you would see that a) that man just lost the love of his life b) he was drugged and assaulted by that person c) he was a friggin virgin!!!! d) he tried to put the "freakiness" behind him and talk business that are not just business (from what we see they must make this deal or else) and the guy again tells him "yes but you will be my sex pet"..... For a reality based mafia erotica and not a fluffy one, that Seme is actually an extremely patient and calm person, even kind. . He realized he crossed the line and took him to the hospital. "He forced him self violently on him!!!!". So when you are drugged and forced, or when you are blackmailed and forced we are not shocked, especially if you are a person that didn't have intimacy with others due to be loyal and in love? And no, 2 bads don't make 1 right, but we have this kind of story with a pair of unhinged problematic characters. But please, again, let's stop with this strange notion that if a man forces himselft on someone it is assault but if a woman or a bottom do the same it is acceptable. You know, telling you to become a sex partner for a contract or a job is also assault.
was kinda unnecessary like fym this man chased him down and railed him in the parking lot so bad to the point he bled out from his bootyhole and lost consciousness???? and now im supposed to ship them??? i mean i’ll keep reading but this storytelling/plot kinda random i feel like we clearly established the toxicity of the relationship already and that didn’t really advance the plot in a meaningful way i would have liked MC to be a morally gray character who still sticks to his own values but .. classic yaoi manhwa tropes strike again
