Well for me, it seems more like Ian missed TJ and communicates this by responding to the sex. Sex is kind of their communication, it’s what they’re used to. The intimacy here was also pretty fast paced, little to no proper prep time, and at end we see TJ about to stick it in.
I don't doubt Ian miss him a bit but if he really, really did why didn't he respond to tj saying he missed Ian. Why did Ian initially push tj away. Right now Ian is angry and we already know he grew accustom to tj wants because tj never let's Ian have his way because tj does not listen to Ian. Even when Ian lets it happen, Ian facial expressions shows hints of uncomfortability. Like he has many times before with tj.
Hence the sex is used as communication. I don’t think it’s the norm for them to verbalise how they feel all the time, especially Ian. Maybe Ian was upset at TJ for being away, so this is also why I suspect they might not be endgame due to having to wait for the one he loves.
I believe that Ian’s love for TJ was strong back then, it’s still love but that spark is gone. It’s reasonable for that to be the case because it’s been a decade.
Ian has a mouth and this encounter only happened cause he want to when he killed those guys. Even TJ said that he thought all Ian wanted was a quiet life. This uke is make me more frustrated as time passes
And once again this chapter confirms nothing in their relationship changed and all that is holding it by a thread is sex. The only so called chemistry they have because outside sex they have no chemistry at all. But can I call this chemistry when Ian is visibly annoyed?
