It doesn’t seem like she wants us to pity him though? At least to me

Making episodes about his abusive childhood is too much for me to be honest. I feel like she's trying to make us feel that he is a bad lover cause he had a rough childhood

not defending jaegang or the author but lol u dont have to pity him if u dont want to. this backstory is a good addition to the story bc jaegang's character is being fleshed out. like, we get to see why he is the way he currently is. at least we know he wasnt born a total douchebag. rags to riches people turn out into either 'i'm never going back to that pathetic, miserable life so i'm gonna live my life to the fullest' or 'i know what it feels like to be dirt poor so i gotta help them (dirt poor characters)' and jaegang just happenes to be the former.

and i'm also just gonna put this out there: jaegang may not be a green flag but he isnt as red or even black as some of the current & new bl mls out there but people treat him as if he's the reddest/blackest flag of an ml out there

with how he's noticeably slowly changeing (he's acting & reacting differently than he used to i.e. he's starting to worry for dan), i think jaegang can redeem himself. it's just a matter of when. so if ur not in for the long haul, then just skip or drop this.
