I don’t see the issue tbh, it was authors idea and there is no pedophila, SA or any misconduct by the MC on the prince, rather it’s just magicians affection to the prince in a way a family would treat each other. Yes there are some sus scenes like when magician kissed the prince, but author is highlighting the fact that there were no evil intentions behind it, and it’s just a clueless actions done by a dude that has no social skills. Further, It is rather clear that the relationship will take a romantic turn when prince is of age, so it’s okey doki, consent and stuff. Although the fact that prince is young atp and may mistake emotions of family affection between the more romantic ones, it is a bit weird. Thus, I do understand that it may not fit well with everyone, as the age gap may be disturbing, but from my perspective it is fine as long as it is between grown adults. It is common for people to be with eachother with even bigger age gaps irl. Honestly I’ve seen so much bl garbage that presents pedohilia, SA and other compulsive actions, that I find this manga to be on the okay side. I do see the common issue of authors using a disturbing situations and plots in order to add some ‘spice’ to the plot - which is clearly not working - rather it may have negative effect on some readers that seeing appearances of such scenes may normalise and have effect on their perception irl - which I wholeheartedly do not approve. lol I got off topic, but tbh I’m so annoyed of the amount of rapey, SA stuff authors are adding to plot nowadays, and just ignore it afterwards, like nothing happened…. Like no. Anyway have a nice day an if u read it till the end then thanks for listening to my rage with the normalisation of criminal acts, and yes this manga is sus, but I’ve seen worse, and yes doesn’t excuse the fact that this plot is in 100% okay but everyone has their own preference and yes we should hate on stuff that normalise bad things, so please hate on me if Im too biased, okay I’m just digging my own grave this is so messy. Also I do think that smaller age gap would just make it all much better, plot would make sense, and there would be no underlying issues with one of them being a literally baby and other one almost an adult. So tbh idk why I wrote all of that rn, prolly cause the art is nice, author is doing good with the plot so everyone is like ‘why destroy it with such age gap’. I do see that author is trying to write it with positive intentions, and it’s just their way of making things, cause they are the author that writes what they see fit, but I do understand if it doesn’t fit with most, it is sus.
