Ohh, i think you are right. That actually make more sence to me now: I've suspected that Tanaka came to Kurebayashi after Hikaru, so now i understand why she had that expression.
tbh i don't think it was tanaka that went to her apartment, i think it was actually the woman from the company. if it was tanaka, and he really was her son, she would have had a bigger reaction instead of just taking the boys to the other town the next day
i'm like 99% sure that tanaka is kurebayashi's son... she said he was altered by his father and got scars that never healed and look at tanaka now. he's clearly 'mixed'. also he's about the right age to be her son and his hair is black too, you can see his roots growing out from the cheap dye on his hair. kurebayashi also knows about the company and clearly dislikes them, maybe because of how they recruited her son into their shady business.
