im pretty sure he was indirectly talking about the blakes’ having no choice but to fall in love with asha(aka heredity disease of love) he prob was trying to scare albert away. albert’s dad prob died from aging and blames asha for not giving him immortality but made it seem like a disease to prevent albert from going after asha
