My first time eating icecream and it was the most heavenly thing possible doesn't give me the right to criticize someone who finds it disgusting and could vomit at the thought of eating it...even though we went through the "same" experience.
comparing op using their personal past trauma and experience with abuse as a framework to understand and criticize horse face's actions to an analogy about having different food preferences... you really can't make this shit up. yes because growing up to abuse other people carries the same moral and ethical weight to hating on and talking shit about a food item, and both of them are actions that do not deserve to be criticized #lol

The difference here is that you enjoyed the ice cream and lets say I don't find ice cream nice but did it turn out to me throwing ice cream at people? No. I had a great first experience with ice cream but I didn't quite like it. The people i ate ice cream with made it fun for me. What im trying to say is JK had a neighborhood who was nice to him, fed him, made him feel welcome and loved. He was able to show affection to those people in his own way. But with Doc Dan- someone who was just working to help his granny, doesnt do drugs or hit people- He is nasty af to him, which i dont understand. It could be that doc Dan is so weak that he reminds him of himself, maybe JK has instense self loathing. Honestly I just want to see a good redemption arc from JK because that guy seems irredeemable.
hmmm I went through some same stuff that i can relate with JK but I didnt turn out to be such a jerk that I'd publicly humiliate and hurt someone. Idk author nim turn it up a bit more and maybe JK might deserve a redemption arc. Like he was so nice to the old Director hell his nicer to his Manager than to doc Dan. I can understand his skepticism but he always treat him so bad. The old Nanny and his director was able to give him affection why did he turn out to be an asshole? Sure his dad contributed to his deteriorating mental health but it should take more than that to make him do the things he did to doc Dan.
