I couldn’t agree more. Personally I stopped reading halfway through season 1 because I was tired of the brainless angry smut. I came back this season hoping for a backstory and maybe development that improves this story. I was wrong.. it’s comical atp

It is also an honour to be the first (it seems) person ever to enlighten you: you do not have to "do better yourself" to critique something. You do not even have to be a professional in the field! Mind-blowing stuff, I know, but you'll figure it all out as you grow I guess.

also, gonna be honest - after the amount of justified backlash from readers I naively hoped the author (or rather - her team) might at least fix this up a bit and create another mediocre yet passable story out of it, and until the flashback chapters I still clung to the said hope

now there is zero hope and endless cringe

I've been "reading" the first season skipping smut because it just makes me sick and also makes no sense - zero contribution to the story, zero passion, even the art is soulless in this one, the obviously traced 3d models are too in the face
So yeah, I've been solely focusing on the plot (or whatever this is) and oh god I feel bad for anyone unironically loving the "story"
like, dear, you are being used and abused, please, wake up

this work is special in a way
because, as I've said, there really were a lot of people uncomfortable (to say the least) with the story, its pacing, its messaging etc, to the point the author couldn't ignore it
there are thousands of similar or worse examples, but come on - this one is huge and popular, scrutiny is a sister of success thanks god
so yeah, even though I hate smut in this work (and skip these boring as fuck parts), I still am curious if the author would at least try to save this flop

They are being an ass. And still didn't show their own written example of a better story. They resorted to rude behavior instead of showing their capabilities. And no one even said anything about needing to be professional so they are now even making up stuff to argue about.

Love, I could be the world's most gifted and renowned writer of all time, and write the best possible story ever. It would still not change the fact the original Jinx we have now is a piece of rubbish pretending to be anything but. You can call me whatever helps you cope best, won't change the above either
