I think I understand when people say they prefer the old artstyle. for me the new artstyle is in the uncanny midphase when an artist transitions from cartoonish to realism. The old stylized style had thicker lines which 1) feels more expressive because the artist can exaggerate proportions 2) communicate information about the form of the object because the thick lines act as shadow, creating depth. While the new style is mostly thin lines, so the artist has to rely on shading to create appealing shapes and form. Also in the old style, I felt the facial features were just tighter and the artist thought about the face as a whole. While when going for realism, you fixate on detailing individual features, losing the overall expression, resulting in a stiffer image. The advantage of relying on thick linework is you can easily control the flow of the image, while in realism everything is detailed so its harder to create focal points.
Personally I welcome this change because I know the artist is just going to level up even more if they have already improved this rapidly.
I like the detail of the red in the pupil, since pupils are translucent and appear red when u shine a light on it. It gives albino bunny which is ironic...

holy shit I’m acc gnna cry what is this new artstyle the old one was so good and so much better
