I guess that's it. They are full of their egos so for sure they dont even know that hanu worships omegas.
It makes sense with their beliefs they're so blinded by this prejudice they had and probably thought "what's good with an omega, if they see how alphas are better, he won't think of omegas anymore"
It honestly has to be a matter of pride. Cause logically, if your country hates omegas, and the other country loves them, then it's a pretty sweet deal if you get to get rid of an omega and make the other country happy at the same time. An idiot with huge pride and ego... Like they have so many siblings... Ilya is nth prince (i forget what number but he's far back) like why Ilya of all siblings? One that is already married and marked? They were gonna send a replacement for him anyways, why Ilya when they can send another royal sibling for the neighboring country?
(Or maybe the thought of Hanu with an omega queen "swallowing his kingdom" is what shaking his pride, it's still a stupid decision regardless. As a small and weak kingdom, you don't want to be sandwiched by two powerful kingdoms. Then again it's very accurate with history, I mean how many kingdoms has fallen because of the king's stupid pride and ego making stupid decisions hahaha)
He didn't take the factor that Ilya is love by Hanu, and if they took him away, it'll be a slight for Hanu and therefore stop sending in resources which by the way very important if they end up still going into war. He's a huge IDIOT that will almost doom their kingdom.
What kind of idiot prince doesn't know that Hanu worships Omegas? How would it make sense for them to be happy to receive an Alpha
