also placing a sidebet that ilya's dad knew what thorne was plotting and that's why he told ilya to skedaddle ASAP and that he shouldn't have come. the dad might even be ill because the brother is poisoning him or something.
the brother seems a bit too stupid, he could've at least been a cunning and interesting villain considering he's supposed to be the ruler of an entire country. i doubt it but maybe we'll discover he has some amazing master plan later
