AHHHH I get you so muchhhh whenever we get BDSM rep in a manhwa I roll my eyes and brace myself bc I KNOW it's gonna be bad LOL
In this manhwa's defense it's not out of malicious misrepresentation like in others, in this case the misunderstanding comes from genuine ignorance on Jigu's part and not the author trying to portray smth they clearly know nothing about LOL
I know I know... Which is why it's personally infuriating. If it's gonna be a trash BDSM plot, I know what I'm getting into and I either read it or drop it... But in this story, I like the characters and the story... And I'm just annoyed with the lack of enthusiasm. Getting spanked or breathplay should be fun and enjoyable, fuck... I only wished the author had maybe more personal experience with the subject or better research... Maybe some set up with Jigu actually imagining what it would be like and realizing "hey, that's hot
OMG I'm also starved for good BDSM rep, trust me........ but this manhwa is sadly not aiming for that, you're looking at a couple that together make the most vanilla of vanilla ice cream sandwiches(?)
That being said...... if you're interested in the novel....... you might get a glimpse of what you're hoping ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ I only skimmed it bc I plan to read it in full when the manhwa is finished........... but as a kinky person myself, I was delighted by what I saw in side story 1~~ (still questionable rep but hey they both enjoyed it a LOT lol)
I usually love myself a good BDSM plot, but this is probably one of the most personally infuriating version I've read (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻ I like this story, the characters are fun and cute... But BDSM is something for people who are into it. Sure, give it a try after you get into a relationship, explore your kinks, be fulfilled in bed, but neither of these characters are into it... EXCEPT for the fact they think the other is... I'm pretty sure they'll end up liking it, (or at least that's what it looks like it's gearing up to) that's not even the issue. I just wished this all came from actual preferences, actual interest and not from a misguided attempt to please your partner.... WHERE IS THE GODDAMN ENTHUSIASM?
