I think you got things confused. Neither of them remember their past lives, seems like something happened and past life mc is involved in past life ml death (though we dont know exactly how). From what i understood, ml was some kind of god or spirit, and maybe his death is the reason why in this life hes just a regular human. The scene with mc as a kid seems to be their past lives by the clothes he was wearing, and for some reason, mc is dreaming about his past life.
So, by the flashback, that seems to be how they met for the first time in their past lives, mc still as a kid, and ml in his god/spirit form

I understand it. I didnt take the clothes on account because in korea they still dress joseon era like child mc in some events. And he had blue eyes, in the first page when they show MC past life he had green eyes. And both Child MC and Grown Mc had blue eyes.

Of couse they met in their previous life while mc was a child, seriously why is it always like this?? Every time that ml is some kind of god or immortal being he AWAYS have to met mc while he was little.
