I think Lister was much more involved and it’s about protecting “the family” I.e. covering what Lister did, but Lysbet made a promise to Gjord and also seemed genuinely loyal for Sylhan’s family.

I feel like slybet had something to do in the side i've said this again and again but she probably knows what the medicine can do to mc i also think that she has something to do in the side line my main theory is that the reason why she treats mc like that but she doesn't want the mc to regain his memory is because she had something to do to why mc's dad died and she actually feels guilty of that cause of why she takes care of mc she want it to return to the good times.
