I like to think that this possibility is very unlikely. Not so long ago a special extra for the last volume presented an "if story" where BL was no longer the world's rule. Just a normal world where Male x Male relationships were not so prominent. (In this, not even Ayato and Toujou were together and Mayama wasn't a BL mangaka). However, in the last pages of the extra Hatano and MC crossed their ways and Hatano notices him, falling in love at first sight. So, if in this "if world" he's still in love, I'm pretty sure it's a great sign that his flag will not break ever. (Maybe this it's just a theory based on the extra but I'm confident that Hatano's flag will not break!)

I saw it on LOFTER, which is an asian app. I'm afraid that, as this chapter is a special bonus for physical books, it will be hard to find on a different website :(

Once you enter the app, you can check the tag of the manga (using hanzi, just like if you were searching on Billibilli) and you will find the pages in the results.

ok, look, im a huge fan of this series since 2022, and also a huge hatashu fan too (thats the pixiv tag for hatano x MC btw) And im going to be so so so mad over pixels on my screen if MC's plan acutally works out and destroys hatano's flag, im not religious but if god exists, please, at least don't destroy hatano's flag, you can even not make it canon, but PLEASE at LEAST don't destroy hatano's flag, may-or-not-exist-god i swear i'll pray for you everyday in sake of yaoi, PLEASE
