I mean, is it grooming if there’s no intention of romance? We haven’t even gotten their backstory yet and you’re already throwing that word around.
We have no idea if that guy literally just found him and brought him to another village and was remembered fondly as his life savor and mentor during the journey. Or maybe he did raise him and there were feelings but they were one sided like happens all the time from the kids end and that’s their tragic past, who knows, the dude is a whole different age and species.
Labeling everything grooming trivializes the actual harms caused by grooming. Grooming is when someone intentionally « trains/teaches » someone to behave in a way that fulfills the groomers needs(mostly sexual). From whst we have read theres nothing that shows us that idk just wait for actual scenes that show us something like that before throwing such a triggering word

The art and plot are both interesting but the part where the mc meets him as a child in their past life .... that's kinda weird dawg can these authors not include grooming for once ffs.
