That last line

"If holding him gently is enough to make him fall...then it would be too easy". Does that mean that he doesn't want to make it easy, and therefore won't be gentle? Or am I reading too much into that?

the seme thought he has to take the uke by force, which made it difficult. but turned out that he only needed to treat the uke gently. that's how i interpret it :)

That's how I interpreted it too. The last line was like a hoorah to the seme, thinking that being gentle to the uke (which is a way to get the uke's heart) is hella easy IMO ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

    I agree with Hana4x.
I think the seme just -expected- it to be more difficult. He thought from the start that the uke was "upright and strong", so unlike us (readers who heard the uke's inner thoughts/monologue), the seme was stuck with his opinion and false expectations of the uke's personality/behavior. Hence why he was probably a bit confused by the uke giving in to just gentleness. Or at least he surely didn't expect that anyway. ^^
