broooo this!! i just started this today and am caught up on the officials and it’s like… 1) how can there be no recognition by anyone else how fucked up the favoritism is lmao and 2) i’ve never understood having the FL be okay with it either. like here (and in, like, baby tyrant) it is just… acceptable that the dad cares more about the daughter. but if i were the FL, that would be so concerning to me?? and hurtful??? and cause me to doubt the security of my parent’s love bc clearly it wouldn’t matter that i was their child since they don’t give two fucks for my siblings… lmao it’s jarring and odd, and it makes me dislike not just the parents but the FL because they themselves usually should know better (bc they’re adults in children’s bodies lol)
The adults being the dad and the grandma. Although with the grandma, she is barely there so I don't care about her as much as the dad.
I honestly hate the trope where the dad cares more about the daughter than any of the other sons. I like that he's good to the mc but what about your other sons?! I also hate it when dads become jealous of their kids. Like why are you threatening your kids? You are an adult. The dad is a bad parent.
I really liked it in the beginning when the mc would say how much she liked her adopted father. And that he could never replace her dad. So you can tell how upset I was when the mc misunderstood her parents. They love her and miss her so much! It made me feel like they did that so the dad could replace her father rather than earn it.
All that aside, I really like this. The art is so pretty and I really love the kids. I also really love her siblings and her old bond with them. So I hate the dad for not caring about them.
