You'd be surprised at what people would and will do just coz they think what they're doing is "right". And unfortunately these things have happened irl. You can see it happening during WW2 and the genocide of Palestine
This manga is actually so cruel cause what you mean a kid was treated like trash and died like nothing cause they were born a oni? The fact a kid only lived to 18 years old and more than half of it was following rules cause if he didn't his mother would beat him up, not even giving him water or letting him blind his eyes.
You mean to tell me this guy lived for years, even being a traitor to his friends just for the person who he did it all for was actually dead, how a girl with her sister is forced to be scared all the time in fear of what happened in the past and what happened to her sister.
Them oni's getting treated like nothing but trash is insane. It don't matter they will and can beat you up cause you were born that way whattt.
