For the plot I recommend reading in one sitting and taking notes of the gumis and characters’ names if your memory is bad like mine
But I don’t need to explain much when it comes to the dynamics between Doumeki and Yashiro, it’s angsty, it’s hot, and fujoshis, especially from the good old times, are all sadists, so here we are
It’s a well written story, but it can be difficult to follow considering the gap between updates, the art is appealing to me and the characters are unique

the story itself is layered & compelling but also the way its told is so clever & well done. if you are only reading the first couple chapters I can sort of see how you wouldn't get the hype but once you start to understand the characters & their relationship, it becomes something so much bigger.

I think the appeal lies in the extremely slow build up of their relationship and the world around them, like Yashiro realising his feelings slowly and being horrified of that. Its a very complicated story that displays the harsh reality of the yakuza world, the contradicting actions of characters, dealing with trauma. Like saying they hate the person when they've fallen in love because that would make the other chacacter uncomfortableor run away. In my eyes, its a masterpiece to be honest because it has layers of emotions it depicts and evokes from the audience.

plus the art and gritty style is great too lol
