Yes he’s trying to appease to the ML that he isn’t just some “call girl” or “rag” that the ML believes him to be
He also wants to steer the conversation away from the sex talk from earlier. The MC doesn’t know that he’s capable of becoming pregnant hence why he’s so bewildered by the ML advances. The ML is baiting on the fact that he doesn’t know to swoon him and the generals who are after him (ML). It’s like a bait and switch
