Wait pause wth you reading bcs I basically always see the ml’s being hoes. While mc is like the pure has had no one in their past. Like genuinely what are you reading, unless i misunderstood your comment. Because it always upsets me when the MC is some kind of pure dove before the male lead. Like I personally like when the MC has had past relationships romantically and/or sexually but hardly see that. OR when MC and ML arent together but I like when MC gets with someone else because it’s realistic to me especially when ML does the same all the time in most stories I think.
I don't read toxic stories, and I stick to shounen ai, don't read smut that much anymore so all the stuff I read is like green flag stuff, and it's always that even if there's someone in male leads heart from the past, like a different life or something, it somehow always manages to be the MC. I like never see hoe male leads

joonmin isn’t in love with Woojoo, he’s just eternally grateful to him because the guy effectively saved his life & gave him hope for the future during a time when he was like. kidnapped for use as a child slave. yoogyeol asks him about it at one point and he asserts that the feelings he has for Woojoo are entirely gratefulness / a desire to pay him back because he feels like he owes him, which is why Woojoo is his priority over any sort of romance. also he imprinted on Woojoo (+ had a history of someone trying to assault him when he was underage under precursor of guiding) so he’s pretty psychologically blocked when it comes to accepting temporary guiding

If it were written as calm as you just explained it, I wouldn't be complaining, it's just idk how to explain it but the second space Hyung is mentioned by him he starts acting like a mix of Bakugo and Asta and I physically recoil, cant be doing allat in MY screen big boy. Guess I just find his immaturish personality tedious idk im really strict with male leads I tend to dislike em the second they stray too close to the shonen anime personality
Uhmmm for manga I'm an avid fan of the night behind the tricornered window, its a shonen ai but the romance isn't like slammed in your face I guess for manhwa idk you'd have to scour my reading list (it's only 30 but it's all stuff I rate higher than 3 stars) and for manhua 19 days! Pretty basic recs but they aren't bring even when I've read them for so long, and I get bored mad quick

I hate how in BL the male lead is like always an untouched pure fairy, especially in stories with
grown adults. Always have no one but mc in their eyes even though MC is allowed to get around as much as he wants. I think its just sexist, as most male authors write women to be like that while most female authors write the ml to be like that no matter the gender mc is. Convinced its just sexism and purity culture, and it's gets on my nerves like cmon I can't be the only one.
EITHER WAY no shade to ml but the whole space Hyung thing feels really forced because there is absolutely no way anyone stays in love with someone they met once in their childhood so much they base their whole personality on it and are willing to die on it. Ik its not impossible, it just feels like the way ml goes about it is a really excessive way of pushing the ml x mc agenda, like he could quietly accept temporary guiding while getting stronger to help find space Hyung with his power, but hes so explosive about it (can't stand characters that be shouting all up on my screen idc if it's speech bubbles I can hear the echoes in my head and it's obnoxious I swear)
