How many have you tried? Because I almost only read straight and sometimes I care so much about the ml and its ship with the fl and other times he is so boring idgaf about him. You might like mls from other stories more, maybe.
I for example almost only like funny and strong mls who have good tension with the fl. I never like mls that act like dogs or only exist to worship the fl, I like those with a personality

Too many to count honestly. I get u, It's so much better when MLs have personalities instead of just existing for the MC but sadly it's mostly like that.
Kill the Villainess was too good, I even read the novel cuz I just wait at that time for the manhwa, I really love the MC on that one
maybe it's because I'm not an avid reader of straight romance that I just can't care or like the characters except the og villainess and og heroine (I have read countless straight romance stories but the stories are usually just too repetitive, the only good one that I've read is "Kill the Villainess" and it's still the best one I've read) I mean the mc, ml and every other character are okay but honestly speaking... they're boring...I really wanna see more of the og villainess and og heroine—I can't deny that I ship them—but I just want to see them happy together be it by friendship or love I mean can u blame me, they're just too perfect for each other so why can't they just go off together, ride off to the sunset and live their cottage core life... it's my headcanon atp but anyways this is just a personal review.
