i think the point of that scene was MC being so attracted to the resha, but also deeply insecure, that he became emotional and did what he hates(like ML). also, i was thinking it was to show how devoted the resha seems to be towards the MC...?? resha walked away smiling like it wasnt that bad a punishment or something TT ....i also thought MC is a bit unstable and harsh like Amon during that scene...so maybe he IS a god?

Yeah, but it's still MC showed violent tendencies that he can hurt someone if that person was getting under his nerve, even if that person did nothing wrong. This is not emotional maturity. This is the author telling the reader, even the MC is flawed. He didn't feel bad for hurting the guy even when his anger was gone. The guy was bleeding, and the punishment clearly hurt him because he was wincing in pain when he was getting whipped. Well, I think the Rasha was not a normal human being, that's why he ended up standing up like it was nothing, if it were someone else, I don't think they would be fine lol.

I think he has a moment of guilt about it and is trying to make himself feel better after the whipping. At least, the author purposefully shows him seeing the wound and giving a look that I interpreted as guilt/sympathy for the pain. Then, pink guy gives a devoted/loving look that affect him, so he’s trying to cover it up.
I think the MC is not that great either; I mean, he is not as bad as the ML or the rest of the characters, of course. But I don't know how people say here he has emotional maturity when the author literally showed that when someone gets under his skin, he will use his power and violence against the person. He literally asked people to whip the guy. I don't know why no one is talking about it.
