i think the point of that scene was MC being so attracted to the resha, but also deeply insecure, that he became emotional and did what he hates(like ML). also, i was thinking it was to show how devoted the resha seems to be towards the MC...?? resha walked away smiling like it wasnt that bad a punishment or something TT ....i also thought MC is a bit unstable and harsh like Amon during that scene...so maybe he IS a god?

Yeah, but it's still MC showed violent tendencies that he can hurt someone if that person was getting under his nerve, even if that person did nothing wrong. This is not emotional maturity. This is the author telling the reader, even the MC is flawed. He didn't feel bad for hurting the guy even when his anger was gone. The guy was bleeding, and the punishment clearly hurt him because he was wincing in pain when he was getting whipped. Well, I think the Rasha was not a normal human being, that's why he ended up standing up like it was nothing, if it were someone else, I don't think they would be fine lol.

I think he has a moment of guilt about it and is trying to make himself feel better after the whipping. At least, the author purposefully shows him seeing the wound and giving a look that I interpreted as guilt/sympathy for the pain. Then, pink guy gives a devoted/loving look that affect him, so he’s trying to cover it up.

For my interpretation: MC is the weird one here for being caring/empathetic. He covers it all up and when he was saying that the man was being insolent again, he’s noticeably blushing so he was moved by the heated look he was given. That plus the guilt about the whipping means he needs to justify disliking this guy because he’s giving him strange emotions and he doesn’t know how to handle it. Idk this story is so intriguing because the MC is such an unreliable narrator who is difficult to interpret, and the world building is also so different that I think about it way too much when I’m reading lol

For that time of era, in every Retha’s opinion Pink ML really said some rude stuff to their god. So everyone in that room didn’t care if he got that whip lash n looks like pink ML keeps on teasing MC with his comments about Amon being into him when MC is already insecure about it. So it was pretty much coming his way. And Looks like MC is depressed with him trynna get his eternal sleep.

disagree. If you think what the MC did is excusable, then the same thing should be with the gods and the servants, since slaves were treated like that in the past. The author showed that servants got offended on behalf of the MC in the past chapters. But somehow in this chapter, they didn't, also they were surprised the MC was acting that way. If it was such a big deal, the servants would be pissed at the rasha

Hey I’m not excusing MC behavior, I’m just saying that why tf would the servants care about MC much, they are Amons Servants they follow his order to serve Nain, and if Amon wants to throw out Nain then none of those servants will stand by the MC. Did you not read the part where MC sees that he might be revered as a GOD but it’s mostly cuz of Amon that he is being treated like this. At the end of the day MC know that there is no one by his side… And the servants in this kinda of story always switches sides to safe themselves. Plus the one servant disrespect and talks so much but other servant got mad but not due to him disrespecting MC but distressing his position. They give no shit about who MC is personally they just doing their job. And tbh Pink Hair as a new Rasha” was picking a fight with his words dude. Like MC said his pronunciation was almost like he was a citizen there, basically meaning Pink dude know what tf his talking about.
P.S. don’t judge this in a modern view point, it’s based historically. Also I won’t say that MC is entirely mature emotionally but bro Atleast has emotions, yeh he himself doubt that if he is a god. Just enjoy the story of MC being flawed, there’s still a lot of chapters to go.

Yeah, but they still get offended on his behalf, AS Amon's partner or whatever you call it, I never said, because they care about him. I know it's because he is with Amon. Did you forget the chapter when a servant said something bad to the MC and the servant slapped the shit out of him? And I'm sorry, all I remember is the rasha said that the magic ball wasn't just "not bad" and "I didn't mean for Amon to have attention on me," that deserves at most a slap, not a whipping. Again, "don’t judge this in a modern viewpoint," that should be said for every character there, because the slaves/servants were treated like trash in history. Like I said, he is not as bad as the other character, but he still needs to be more self-aware. And people were already sympathizing with what he had done in this chapter.

Yuh I also mentioned that part, they slapped the other servant cuz he said something out of a line for a servant, the other servant took that step not cuz they felt mad on MC behalf, that’s the part where MC acknowledges that the other servant slapped that servant due to his position not cuz of him. Like mc says the person slapped them cuz of something n that they didn’t deny the fact or something?? Yuh I do agree with you that mc is not bad as the other characters here but he is a total emotion mess right now cuz of him being scared that pink hair gonna take his man. Plus Mc got power and authority just cuz he was lenient on some other servants don’t mean he gotta be the same with pink hair, when pink hair started muttering on his own.
Nice chatting with you
I think the MC is not that great either; I mean, he is not as bad as the ML or the rest of the characters, of course. But I don't know how people say here he has emotional maturity when the author literally showed that when someone gets under his skin, he will use his power and violence against the person. He literally asked people to whip the guy. I don't know why no one is talking about it.
