It's pretty obvious why he's part of the story. Maybe tj should get a grip on moving from his ownership complex and leave Ian alone. But bro, honestly how you read a story you don't even understand to be saying all that.

I don’t think you properly read or you chose not to understand. Not to sound like a jack ass but I thought it was obvious he’s the “outsider”, he is the “change”, a new factor in Ian and TJ’s world or specifically Ian.

What do you mean by get a grip? So far he has been the one to prioritize Ian. I think he has gotten a good grip than TJ has within these decade of “relationship”.

Ian waits desperately for a man that wouldn’t put a label on their “relationship”, and Jo is ready to. He doesn’t want to be in the past whereas TJ stays in and continues to, and Ian wants normalcy or peace, not gang world.

Jo can give him those. Hence: “outsider”/“new factor”/“change”/perhaps difference would be a better word for it.

I think they know but it’s just frustration. I understand because sometimes if we don’t like a character, we just want them out no matter their role.

Author confirmed there will be an endgame. And I wasn’t lecturing, I was just explaining because you asked why he’s part of the story, sorry if you took it the wrong way! :).

You just said you didn’t know why, and now you say why. It can be confusing to people.

We are just explaining. It’s not deep.
And TJ does want to be left alone and free from the gang world, he has trauma from that.

you cannot possibly begin to understand the story without understanding why he should be here hdjjdjd
