I've always disliked the narrative that suggests immortality, wealth, or power inevitably leads to a miserable existence. It goes against the fundamental human desire to live forever and achieve great things. To claim that happiness is reserved for those who are ordinary, or even less, just doesn't make sense to me.
power requires sacrifice and people are selfish, wealth can buy you everything to the point that you live life comfortably but people use you, and live is awesome because it’s finite. living forever would eventually be miserable and sad
