ok mayb i was harsh and i now understand she was trying to show that they aren’t bad or an ugly thing… sorry lol

Nothing is a lot of people still think like that where this is originally from which I don’t agree with I wish that it was more like unkempt type of situation and there’s also this weird very specific style that they all need to have which is my opinion and personally, it’s fucking ridiculous because beauty is in the Isle of the beholder and I’m pretty sure Our main character is a supposed to show that because of how she said what she liked I think she was trying to represent that the eyes in the beauty of the beholder, but this author went about it in a shit way

yeah u worded this better than what i was imagining bc obvi i get what the author was doing but it jus seemed like a way to hate those with freckles or dark skin or acne and its like bruh be so fr with me T^T i’ll give them that they tried but overall im still off putted by it yk. only reading bc i like the ml

I agree like they kinda had the vision for what this should’ve been, but their execution sucked tremendously like it’s insulting. There is a way that they could’ve made it more obvious that it’s just that it’s a problem with the kingdom itself and that it’s ingrained into the people I feel like if we had met other people that you know, had had more interactions in the manga with people that are the same way, like beauties in the isle of the beholder type of situation like what my type and what I find beautiful is different than what you would find beautiful but extreme and specific human decency is an overall right if we saw more people that behavior acted like that I feel like we would’ve seen it as more of a kingdom issue which that’s the whole point because I get that the country that the author comes from is very ingrained into what looks good
