In the original he was friends with Iruma and they had a close bond but it always ended with Kiriwo wanting to eat him but this one is sooo situationship coded like, what in the toxic yaoi?
Like yea he was tweaking in the original too but his feelings of love always got sidelined by his demonic side. He used to talk about how they're soulmates and all but once he learned about MC being human, him wanting to eat MC got more important than his feelings of being Iruma's fated partner.
In this one? he does not give a shit about his ideals anymore as long as he gets to die with his soulmate he met 2 days ago, like?? yea he's gonna blow up the city but comparing their plans is comical.
OG Kiriwo didn't just try to blow up a school, it was specifically Sullivan's school. The school that belongs to one of the three greats and hosts some of the most important students in the nether.
Students like Amelie, Asmo and Sabnock are all related to thirteen crowns, not to mention Soi & Lied who belong in important families with lots of influence.
If kiriwo blew up that school not only it would dirty Sullivan's name, it would also shake people's faiths on choosing him as a demon king, let alone the other greats who never doubted him.
