I agree, especially with the last part where you said why punish the children. It’s not a case where she had no access to the king and queen and had to punish the kid cause the kid is the only Royal she has access to (which I’m not justifying btw.)
It’s been a few years since the incident, why not take it out on the king and queen who covered it up, considering that:
1. The nanny had a few years to properly execute a plan
2. She works within a poisonable distance from the king and queen
3. She seems to have enough power to be in a stabbable distance from either the king or queen, or atleast the older sister who she believed caused this (again not justifying.)
4. She doesn’t seem to care whether she lives or dies after considering her child was her only family
Cause it boils down to me not understanding why she got EVERYONE involved, including the other theatre kids! I get being mad at the system but this has to be one of the worse ways to go about a revenge plot.

I believe her goal wasn't to punish the king or queen but to make them feel the same pain she felt that day. I'm not the author of the story so this is my theory but she probably didn't say anything because of how willing they were to sweep it under the rug.
And even if she says hey that's my kid that died and she gets compensation, it won't change the fact that her baby is dead.

I understand her intention and I agree with what you’re believe and also yeah, it won’t change that her baby died but wrath is wrath especially when it belongs to a mother. And wanting others to know the pain that you felt, but the way she went about was questionable.
I don’t disagree with her wanting to kill the king and queen and any related nobles in that situation. But killing other kids to do it, is the worst way to go about it, especially when you had years to prep this revenge with your life on the line. Also, I’d never expect her to tell the royal family that they killed her kid, cause that would just be dumb.
Basically, I understand your thinking but I’m really only against her killing the kids.
My thoughts:Ok this story has been slowly but firmly building Leticia up as a detective. She has helped solve cases since the first chapters. If you hate seeing a child figure stuff out before the adults why even read this to begin with?
Second she gets away with a lot because her dad is very firmly backing her up considering her skills and his love for her. Either way is a win for him, he keeps her safe and possibly gets a meal to his standards right?
Then she was heavily used in this case because she was a suspect. Someone used her and made her think she killed her friend then everyone was put into danger with a fire. There was no backing off this case and she did get to see more than everyone else because she was so involved.
Lastly this was an extremely public case with a Lot of people involved. What happened to nanny’s daughter was awful but I’m not shocked that the people she almost burned alive are just relieved the case is over. They may still discuss the daughter later but she was literally shouting about how much she wanted the princess dead. It was time to remove her, and why SHOULD the Fl have sympathy right now?? She is a victim??
She almost thought she killed her friend and that’s what she’s focusing on. I hear people say she isn’t showing enough emotion, can she just be tired and relieved maybe?? I’m sorry people aren’t enjoying this more but I am confused by the anger. Fl was always headed this way??
Also I feel terrible for the little baby girl but why didn’t the nanny claim her??? If a random little girl came in and died do to an accident with the princess then it as terrible as it is, it makes sense that they would hide it??? Why didn’t the nanny do anything???? I’ve read a lot of evil royals but this was an accident and awful basic politics. She is owed a lot more than an apology but that doesn’t mean her revenge was right. Why punish children?? That’s where she loses sympathy
