Every book has a genre and a vibe. Forgive me for saying this but there are books with well written rape scenes. Not like those ones that are unnecessarily thrust in there. I mean rape scenes that makes sense. I understand it's triggering to everyone including me. But please read the room.
This is a story including a gangster. A gangster. They usually do not have moral compasses . But the issue is that we've romanticized them so damn much that when you see how a real gangster behaves you start tweaking .
It's not like there aren't "kind or good" gangsters in the world but puhlease forget that bullshit.
This type of shit is the reason you can't handle the fact that mafia men are terrible criminals because you've romanticized the hell out of them.
