It wasn't even that remotely surprising, I doubt the love potion worked anyway.
Victor was definitely not Henrys favorite, and he probably didn't put them all back tgt bc he was probably scared that if he did he would know the truth, and henry would leave him. But if he keeps them apart, he could still have a piece of him to keep..... or smth like that.
