Horus looked into the mirror and he met the real nepthysis there, actually both of them are real but the one trapped in the mirror is the nepthysis who loved Seth and the one outside is who got tricked by the mirror into loving Osiris
Go back and reread those maybe! Also, does anyone remember any other early-story events involving the mirror? It does seem to have been seeded in the storyline very early on.
