fiction and reality are not the same reading or watching something with dark content is not the same as endorsing it in real life people can engage with problematic themes in media while still fully knowing they are wrong in reality you can dislike the act in real life but still find the fictional story compelling for reasons like plot character growth or drama no one is saying rape is ok in real life but banning or shaming every fictional work that depicts it erases nuance and ignores that many stories use it as a plot device or to explore characters not to promote it you choose what you consume and if you dont like it you can just not read it like cmon man
