honestly Lydia reminds me of Ellenia and Izeks mother. specifically the way the duchess treated Ellenia, they both have illnesses and love their children. However, its hard for them to show their love because of their own problems. :(
it's also insane to me bc it's clear Lydia was on an insane state of mania. Every flashback is so harrowing that it's uncomfortable.

This. She has her own set of problems as well being a young bride and left with a child on her own. What she did to Lyrica was unforgivable but after regressing she tried her best not to do the same mistakes and did everything to protect her daughter. It’s honestly hypocritical of people to hate her when her circumstances are the same as every villainess story out there who was given a second chance or mooning over neglectful dads.

ppl who hate lydia are ppl who dont understand what it’s like having a mentally ill parent who loves you. idc if none of y’all forgive lydia's, what’s important is that lyrica does and loves her. what lyrica needs from someone she loves and depends on is to get their shit together, not leave her or be repenting 24/7. trust me, i have a parent who repents often and feels bad about herself but physically can’t do anything to change bc of her struggles, it’s exhausting.
