No it is from excessive drinking. When the old man found him, he could remember but he was traumatized by it and was having a panic attack. So, instead of helping him process it (which is hard even for professionals), he said he doesn't have to remember it, and shared his alcohol.
Maybe he was a doctor before he became alcoholic, that's why his name is Dokgo since he is Doctor Go?????!
