bc ending with the man who you found when he was a whole child is weird
cant speak for others but my main reason is that he was literally a prepubescent boy that she was raising herself. she was an older sister/guardian/mother figure toward him, and then he just, BECAME an adult. its been a hot minute so i cant remember exactly how old but idc if he was "technically" 400 smth years old, he had the mind of a child and now im expected to believe this BOY is a man because his body got bigger and matured. brother what. and, okay, say i do accept that, it doesnt make their relationship any more acceptable. she played a part in raising him, that is the only reason hes attached to her. if she gets together with him, its givinggggg groomer. its giving predatory behavior. its giving power imbalance. its giving red flag.
I think novel readers might have other reasons for disliking him. thats my main and forefront reason though. for other reasons...? this is just personal preference, but im not a big fan of his personality, its just not something i like to see in ml's. the level of 2 faced and devoted is kinda ridiculous. its to the point where i find his character kind of annoying, but i think i would like it more if his affection was that of purely a little brother wanting to support his sister
