he didn't do anything wrong persay, he didn't do (or more like say) anything and that's the problem (same with kiyoko's friends) shoji (and kiyoko's bar friends) knew that the feelings between mikoto and kiyoko were mutual but were like "well I'll let them figure it out themselves" which i find is an annoying not friendlike thing to do, especially when you know your friend will be hurting in the meantime and you could cut the hurting period short just by opening your mouth
Tbh mikoto is doing the same, so like if i were to dislike him for that I'd have to dislike mikoto too. I think ppl have diff opinions on whether friends should interfere or not, i agree with u but clearly the author disagrees
