ehhhh passion was written in 2006 so i’d give yuuji some grace in that respect, and i think the artists were probably trying not to be super accuract when it came to raman considering the massive controversy they had last year where a bunch of people were mad they had a gay arab character. which. its completely fair to say that raman is not characterized well relative to his culture. but getting mad he’s gay is homophobia regardless of religion (like there are a ton of bl characters that are christian/catholic so)
