idk spoilers or anything but wasnt her "curse" is that she had a hard time making others like her? like in one of the recent chapters the story was literally saying that's why yvonne was able to win the first time around. thats prob why her other family is confused as to why they were such assholes to her too cause she IS penelope, or at least a fragment of her soul
That was heartwrenching. And I'm mad at her modern family for ever thinking that the shit they put her through is even remotely justifiable.
If I recall correctly they did much more than not have her eat at night or make her live in that apartment. Like, do you not SEE the answer you get from her to your behaviour? Why not change approach, if you cared? And if they DID care, why didn't they know anything about her life when she left home? They could've had someone watch her just to keep her safe, which would be despicable but they'd have known she was overworking herself.
And if the house was a test, why the fuck did the older brother let it keep going?
So much missed communication and failed chances to make amends, and now they cry.
Seriously, at least her og family is trying to fix their relationship, without having to drive her to her death. Except the older brother, he needs to be castrated and be kept far far away.
