Just a theory

But it seems like Haesu and Taeha met when the debt collectors came and hurt them. Because in the flashbacks we’ve gotten, she’s not in school uniform (her sandal was broken and she was crying in the first flashback) and Taeha believes she’s suffering BECAUSE of Mincheol. So he’s probably been following her for like… 7 years? I hesitate to say 10 because I don’t think he looked that way at 14. But maybe 16.

And because it’s been so long, I wonder if he played any part in changing Mincheol. Because Mincheol used to work hard, do good things, and love Haesu properly. But something happened. Why didn’t he work. Could he not find work? Haesu says he got into a lot of fights but… when? Did he pick the fights? What for? And what WAS the debt? And why did he leave it in her name?!

Just seems a little weird how he changed so drastically and did all this crazy stuff. I feel like she cleaned Taeha’s wounds and then he became obsessed and meddled.

But Taeha wouldn’t have internal thoughts of pure hatred towards Mincheol for hurting her unless Mincheol really deserved it. Tae-ha isn’t deluding himself to believe he hates Mincheol because he wants Haesu. He hated Mincheol because he doesn’t cherish her. We still don’t know why he is so obsessed with Na Haesu and I’m thinking it might have something to do with how they first met initially. But once we know why he loves her truly we’ll see his real intentions. In all his plans he doesn’t meddle too much not because he’s being careful but because it will all unfold eventually.

I dunno… Taeha said it was all going to plan, nothing is coincidence, and he carefully placed each thread in the web himself so it would all lead to him being with Haesu. He got Mincheol the job (otherwise how is Mincheol a parachute hire? We specifically saw a scene where randos were talking about how a guy who did nothing but rot on the couch suddenly got a job, was gone all the time, and ended up cheating on her—we know those side convos are quite close to Haesu’s truth) and he’s been stalking her all day every day, beating up every guy who so much as says something rude to her at work. He infers that killing Mincheol would be too little of a punishment—he’s going to make him suffer some great torment. Not to mention that fortune teller saying “before that black thing latches onto you” which means evil and could refer to Taeha’s internal darkness.

I was hoping that after 66 long chapters we would get some answers. But yeah Taeha definitely hides a lot, and I was waiting to understand how he fell for her. And Mincheol was a hardworking and a good hearted person so I can't understand how he could change this much, he loved her so much so whatever the reason it would still make no sense. And also if all this was Taeha's plan, Mincheol still decided on himself to cheat on his wife, and that's the only reason that made her look away from him. And also, when Mincheol saw Taeha at his house, Taeha told him that he gave him many chances, so it's all weird, Taeha is a weird and complicated character, I hope the story will speed up a bit, bc we are only left with more questions
