My thoughts exactly.It's annoying but I think he might has twisted feelings for her rather than pure hate.They lived together for many years after all.The way he don't want her to be good to him seems like he's afraid he will acknowledge her love.
Can’t you see the dad is trying to use her? He’s not having sex because he enjoys it. He hates her guts but he also knows she loves him in her own twisted way. By soothing her physical needs and speaking to her with a hint of kindness he can get her to do what he wants to a certain extent.
