I'm confused, do you not feel anything more than sympathy for your friends and family?? why would you think that he means romantic love? it seems pretty obvious to me that he doesn't? i feel a damn lot more for the people around me than the sympathy i'd have for someone I barely know lmao like it's not a weird thought at all??? unless there's a novel that you've read that told you it's romantic or unless it's been explicit in the previous chapters that he fell in love with him (which, if that's true, I completely missed, bc it didn't seem that way to me).
I think this person feels this way because the older guy is the second ml, you can tell on the cover, but I don't think in this scene that they're referring to it meant anything romantic

I was about to be happy bcs my boi yw finally had someone to depend on (at least) Someone who will stand like a "hyung" for him but you just had to ruin it.
