Oh boy you gotta ready the novel!! But if you rlly want spoiler here it is…
Basically during this ambush Josh takes a major risk to save Chase. Specifically they’re about to get attacked by a pack of coyotes, and you know how Chase is deathly afraid of dogs or anything of that matter since he was lied to by his brother (and he doesn’t know that) that he did it with a dog during his first rut (which is why he refuses to have sex, and never had sex other than with….yk Josh) but anyway Josh gets attatckrd by the coyotes while trying to save Chase. So after this Chase sees Josh in a different light and even develops a deep sense of liking and gratitude to him to the point of possessiveness. He considers Josh as his savior. And basically after this event the story changes and things become more romantic or I guess sensual between the two.
The major arc is startingggg this is where everything changed between them!!
