Nergal couldn't think of anything or anyone with horns cuz he hasn't seen one. And since he's a dragon or sm maybe pregnancy that holds his child takes more than months?

I think it's mentioned that they are basing their guess that Leon can get pregnant on the fact that Leon may be from a race of creatures where a male can get pregnant if they're with someone they love (except they don’t believe the love part).
