It's like the difference between drawn violence and actual war photos. It's easier to digest the former while the latter can give you trauma. I have a similar experience when I was younger. I took a life drawing class, and it usually has nude female model. Then, one day, they suddenly have a male one. A really scary looking middle aged man. Seeing it in real life was so traumatic. I remember trying to draw while covering my eyes at the same time. It was awful.
Idk why but it's so funny to me that the same people who are so scared of irl porn have the most smutiest stories on their read list
