I'll never understand rape kink. It isn't normal at all. Although I know that some rape victims/ sexual assault victims develop rape kinks after the traumatic event, I still think people with that kink should seek medical help.
It’s probably a mix of kinks and the fact that 99% of rapists portrayed in yaoi media are conventionally hot, as if that automatically makes it ok. Also probably has a lot to do with the fetishisation of gay men, like women thinking that just because they’re two men it’s better(and more hot idk). Either way I hate ppl like that I can’t stand rape stories and I do nawt support
Also not to mention those people are likely chronically online and have no idea what rape looks or feels like, and their only conception of it is fictional, romanticised men banging eachother, without any regard for actual rape victims and their experiences.
i think if someone is genuinely talking about wanting to get raped, even if by a fictional character, they should seek help
Though I don't have this kink, it is so much easier to stomach when it's framed as you putting yourself in the shoes of the victim rather than the rapist. It can be both a kink detached from trauma, a trauma response, or both. On the other hand, people who get off to the thought of being in the rapist's shoes... yeah, I really can't wrap my head around that, nor do I care to.

honestly u did ur part, u can't rly do much now. as others said, it could be a coping mechanism for her. whether or not it's healthy depends on her, and how she further deals w it. if u don't like hearing about it (I definitely wouldn't, to hear about rape being 'wanted' by people is triggering for me & a lot of others), u can respectfully tell her to not talk about it more and just keep it to herself.
i think these people don't realize the atrocity of what r@pe is in real life, it's dehumanizing and disgusting. in most bl, sadly, the perpetrator is usually drawn conventionally hot and the victim seems to enjoy the act, which may make some reader to think "i also want to feel that" to some degree, which absolutely not how you're gonna feel if it truly happens to you (god forbid it happens to anyone).
but yeah, tho fetishes do exist in various forms, there are some that in my humble opinion, should just be kept to yourself and don't impose it to others as if its normal, especially if the act itself is quite frankly, immoral
