I feel the same it still feels fresh and surface level
I have been having the same thought since before too. There's something missing. Or lacking.. but its a good story though.
It definitely is. My biggest issue probably is because I don't understand how they both fall in love with each other. Esp with the director. I also have so many questions like if it's originally pretend why does he have to do it for real. He could have just be kind with him while not crossing the boundaries. It was never truly explained until the end why he fell for him. Is it sympathy turned to attraction. ML asked him this, but he never gives him straight answer too.

THIS!!!! The transition from whatever the seme was feeling at the start of their fake relationship to when the seme actually *loves* the uke was not clearly shown. Imho there seemed to be little difference in the seme's treatment at the start and when they finally got together for real.
I can't pinpoint it but for some reason, I don't feel immersed in their feelings for each other. Like there is something missing
