ML didn't tell her to break up. He only called out the girl for making mc hide his birthmark and hiding his birthmark on her instr acc too. The girl is the one who couldn't love mc the way he is. Instead, she made him feel bad for having the birthmark. The girl realized her mistake and decided to break up.
I still think the way he went at it is wrong. Also he (MC, not ML) kissed the ML without consent. Yikes.

Also, MC is an insufferable character too, I didn’t read a lot but what I did read made me dislike him a lot. He’s a walking red flag and I hope Aonagi gets away and dumps his ass
