It’s the fact that Carsen already fell in love with the real Maythan before MC came is already canon Carsen is more for Maythan. I don’t know why author is forcing us that Carsen is endgame I think that was their mistake if this is their first BL fantasy by making ML already fell for the real Maythan when the known formula is the ML fell for MC for them to be endgame.
I think they are using the "pettiest one gets the love" since Carsen is supposed to die in game. If someone would be the end game, it should be the white hair guy. The prince fell for mc because he interrupted the game plot and mc tricked over the prince instead of the fml. But, I hope it turns out to be poly, so that everyone including us can be happy
Call me sucker for second lead but Carsen loves Maythan, the other two love the real mc
